Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

• Photos you upload to design your pillow.
• Descriptions you type in the Studio to create or edit a picture.
• Order information — name, shipping address, email, and order details — once you place an order.
• If you create an account: your email address, and anything tied to it — your store credit balance and any designs you've saved.
• Usage analytics: we count anonymous events on our own servers — which customizer step was reached, which of a fixed set of choices was made, how long a preview stayed open — to find where people get stuck. There is no cookie, no third-party tag, and no identifier of any kind: an event carries no account, order, design, photo, web address or free text, only a page name from a fixed list, so it cannot be traced back to you or joined into a profile. Nothing about it is sent to anyone else. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we send nothing at all.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate your 3D preview and the production files used to make your pillow.
• To have a person review your design before it goes into production.
• To fulfill, ship, and support your order.
• To sign you into your account — we email you a one-time link, no password to manage — and to track your store credit and saved designs.
• To improve the site and the customizer experience.

Where We Store It

Your uploaded photos and the design files we generate from them (the cut-out, the print file) are stored in Cloudflare R2. Order, account, and store-credit records are stored in our database.

How Long We Keep Your Photos

Photos and designs are stored for as long as the design exists — while you're actively working on it, and afterward for any order made from it.

We don't run an automated process that deletes uploads after a fixed period. If you'd like a photo or design deleted, email support@madeuni.com and we'll remove it. Deleting an order's photos early may make it harder for us to verify a Preview Match Guarantee claim later, so we'll flag that before acting on your request.

Who We Share It With

We don't sell your personal information, and we never will.

• Cloudflare — hosts this site and stores your uploaded photos, design files, and account/order records.
• A background-removal service — if you use automatic background removal in the customizer, your photo may be sent to that service to process the image. Every photo you upload to the Studio has this run automatically. It isn't used for anything else.
• Stripe — when you place an order, Stripe processes your payment. We don't see or store your full card number.
• Google — when you use the Studio, the description you type is sent to Google (Gemini) to draw the picture; when you ask us to edit a Studio picture — one Gemini drew or one you uploaded — the picture goes along with your instruction. We don't send your name, email, or account details with it.
• Replicate — pictures being prepared for print are sent to Replicate to be enlarged to print quality. No text and no account details go with them.

Your Privacy Choices (California Residents)

You have the right to know what personal information we've collected about you and to ask us to delete it.

To make a request, email support@madeuni.com from the email address on your order (or your account email) and tell us what you'd like us to do. We may ask you to confirm your order number to verify the request.

We'll confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days.

We don't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of.

Children's Privacy

MadeUni isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
