- Fabric & filling
- Soft-touch polyester twill (needed for the vivid dye-sublimation print), plush poly-fiber filling. One standard fabric. We do it well instead of offering nine mediocre ones.
- Thickness
- It gets thicker as it gets bigger: 3″ deep on a 12″ pillow, up to 4.5″ on a 24″. Exact loft varies a little with shape and filling. The 3D preview shows realistic proportions.
- Care
- Spot clean or gentle hand wash, air dry. Print is dyed into the fiber, not on top, so it won't peel or crack.
- Shape
- Cut from your own photo, so the outline is whatever your subject is. Anything narrower than 1.5″ once finished is widened before it is sewn — the filling has to reach it or that part arrives flat.
- Dye-sublimation. Front and back are printed separately and then sewn, so the colour sits in the fibre rather than on top of it.
- The back
- Mirror the photo, or choose one of 18 plain colours. 3 filling levels, from slim to plump.
FAQ
What happens after I order?
A person checks your design within 24 hours: edges, resolution, sewability. We email you a link if anything needs a decision from you. What you can't do is change it yourself: the order is locked to the design you approved the moment you pay, which is exactly what the 3D preview is for. Then it's printed, die-cut, sewn and stuffed by hand. That is 2–3 business days to make, 1 to hand it to the carrier, 3–5 in transit with USPS Ground Advantage, so 6–9 business days door to door. We email you the moment it ships.
Can you do logos and mascots?
Yes. Transparent PNGs skip background removal entirely. Bulk discounts apply automatically at checkout: 5% off 2–4 pillows, 10% off 5 or more. Ordering for a team or a class? A group order gives everyone their own link to add their own pillow, and you pay once.
What can't you make?
Shapes with hair-thin parts get gently widened so they survive sewing (we show you exactly how before you pay). And nothing you don't have the rights to print.
Will my photo be sharp enough?
The customizer tells you before you pay. It measures the longest side of your cut-out shape, divides by the size you chose, and grades it: around 200 DPI reads crisp, 150 still prints well, and under 100 it asks you to drop a size. Send a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB. Under 600px on the longest side we can't use at all. HEIC (the iPhone default) works too: we convert it right in your browser, and if a file resists, we'll say so and you can export it as JPG instead.
